After starting on the 1942 and 1980 sets, I'm adding a 'midpoint' issue here; issue 1 from 1968. Slowly but surely the website will fill out!
It's typical of what I think of as the John Gray era - a colorful Schafer cover, Campbell illustrations, a good essay on the back cover, and field-oriented conservation stories.
This one's got all that - a great Charles Schafer cover painting of a hunting hound, zany Jim Campbell illustrations in the CO article ("Tales from the field") and a nice and essay by Russell McKee which ties to the cover art.
