Michigan Natural Resources Magazine in 1994:

The magazine's staff: published by Kola & Robb, Inc. (which must have consisted of the two below) of Bingham Farms, MI. It listed Vicki Robb as publisher, Richard Morscheck as editor, Fred Wessells as associate editor, and Katherine Kolka as "creative director/designer", with several more names in the production, circulation, and advertising staff.

The magazine for these privatized issues still gave a subscription cost of $9.97 per year for 5 issues, and was listed as printed by The Press Room, Detroit; color separations and pre press were by Unitech Graphics, Ann Arbor; however this information disappeared following the March-April issue.

This was the first full year of the privatized version. The editorial staff had certainly changes, the "look" of the magazine changed somewhat as well, with more 'photoshop' type effects (such as fade-edge photos) that were so irresistable in that time to many publishers, and the logotype changed from the clean Helvetica to a differnt typeface. However there was still some good content, though obviously the paintings of Van Frankehneuzen were conspicuously absent, and the advertisements seemed out of place. Most notable is probably the story by John Voelker with illustrations by Lary Cory in the March-April issue.
